What is your photography style?

A bright, light, and timeless look; I slightly desaturate vibrant colors like young tree green or grass in post-processing to maintain a calm and balanced feel. I photograph in a documentary style, focusing on authentic images by capturing candid moments as they unfold. Even when time is short, I always pay attention to composition and the best possible framing. Occasionally, I intervene if it results in unusual portraits or makes people look more flattering (group photos are a special case). Overall, my images have a very natural look. I use flash sparingly, resulting in a natural feel that allows the time of day to show through.

Are the photos edited?

Absolutely. I edit all the photos; sometimes a picture needs straightening, sometimes cropping, etc. I also adjust the colors to create a harmonious whole. I retouch skin on portraits of the bride and groom if necessary. Red cheeks from excitement, skin irritations, etc., are all corrected by me, because I want you to look your best on this special day.

How many images will we receive?

When will we receive our pictures?

Editing all the photos usually takes a maximum of 6 weeks. To make the wait a little easier, you’ll receive the first 10 photos within 7 days of the wedding. Anticipation is half the fun!

Will you provide us with a contract?

Yes, I work with detailed contracts to clearly define all points. The number of final photos, the schedule of the day, booked hours, etc., are all agreed upon in writing. I want to maintain a good relationship beyond the wedding day so that you’ll book me for your silver wedding anniversary as well.

Should we create a list of must-have photos?

A specific to-do list is usually unnecessary, as my experience allows me to capture the most important moments and details. However, a list is useful for group photos to ensure all desired combinations are well-planned and executed.

What sets you apart from other wedding photographers?

Every photographer develops their own style over time. However, wedding photography involves much more than just the visual look: interacting with the people at the celebration, the overall picture of the wedding day’s documentation, the ability to assess and anticipate situations, and much more. How do I connect with them? Do I annoy them or make them feel comfortable? Can I make them smile or bore them? Etc. Since my background is in film, I’ve developed a diverse style and a smooth workflow. I alternate between close-ups, product shots, portraits, candid moments, lively scenes, wide shots, and more. Ultimately, variety and engaging storytelling make every photo documentation better. What else? A photo book speaks volumes, and I’d be happy to show you a wedding album in person. You can find some examples on this landing page to get a first impression.

Do you also take photos outside of Germany?

I have previously worked as a videographer throughout Europe. I would be happy to document your wedding abroad in Europe as well.

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

It’s best to book at least 6 to 12 months in advance, especially during peak season, to ensure your preferred date is still available.
